ABOUT LORETTA MARKELL

Loretta is a very private person. She lives with her husband Andy and her cat Truffle in a rural area north of Detroit. She works in a converted barn studio built for her by Andy. They have traveled together around the U.S.A. and some of Europe and have done some sailing on the Great Lakes. Most of her family is scattered throughout the U.S.A. from northern Michigan to Florida and the western states. Recent events have changed their traveling habits. Loretta finds there are lots of great things to see and experience closer to home. Most trips now are to cities and towns in and near Michigan or Ontario, Canada. The sail boat was sold and bicycles are now the mode of recreational travel and looking for bicycle friendly areas is an adventure. She enjoys going to art openings, museums, gardens and concerts. When returning from one of these short trips she is re-energized to create and is anxious to get to work. Loretta is also a master gardener and nature lover and enjoys keeping in touch with friends via the internet.
